Day 2 – in Zagreb
This morning, enjoy a city tour featuring the historic Upper Town, St. Mark’s Church, St. Catherine’s Church, the Cathedral, the Parliament, and the Government Palace. The rest of the day is free to explore the winding streets of the Old Town. Zagreb was a stage for many movies and Tv series in the last 40 years. Most popular ones are: The Trial (Orson Welles), Fiddler on the Roof (3 Oscars), Sophie’s Choice (Meryl Streep, Oscar for best female role), Armour of God (Jackie Chan), The Dirty Dozen; The Fatal Mission, La Femme Musketeer (Gerard Depardieu, Michael York, Nastassja Kinski), The Hunting Party (Richard Gere, Terrence Howard) and more recent ones like tv series McMafia, and the latest movie The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard (Samuel L. Jackson, Salma Hayek and Ryan Reynolds). Tour through the famous scene areas within the next two days. Balance this day with dinner. (B, D)
Day 3 – Zagreb
Join your fellow travelers after breakfast and continue where you stopped yesterday. The rest of the day is at leisure. (B)
Day 4 – to Opatija
Drive to the coast and travel along the beautiful bay of Kvarner to its popular resort, Opatija. After some free time, continue to see the movie and tv serial scenes that took place in this beautiful town. Itsi Bitsi, Directions China (Tom Selleck), new serial McMafia are some of the foreign tv production that has recently been filmed here. Dinner comes at the end this lovely day at your hotel. (B, D)
Day 5 – to Rijeka and Rovinj
After breakfast, head to Rijeka. One of 4 towns in Croatia by size was a place where Itsi Bitsi was filmed, famous Winnetou, The White Crow (Oleg Ivenko) and in newer days Robin Hood and the new film The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard (Samuel L. Jackson, Salma Hayek and Ryan Reynolds). Robin Hood was filmed in Istria also, so you will pass some of those famous scenes. Afternoon is for the new set scene of the movie in Rovinj. Return to Opatija for dinner and overnight. (B, D)
Day 6 – to Pag and Split
Start your day with breakfast and drive through beautiful Croatian coast to island Pag to see where The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard (Samuel L. Jackson, Salma Hayek and Ryan Reynolds) filmed recently. Also, TV serial McMafia had some scenes here. Try the local speciality – the most popular Croatian Pag cheese. Drive to Split in the afternoon and prepare yourself for Diocletian’s Palace, Game of Thrones and a lot more next day.

Day 7 – in Split, Trogir and Kaštela
After breakfast spend your day in Split, enjoy a sightseeing tour featuring the historic inner city, built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace. Then see the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle and the Cathedral. Follow the same path as Daenerys did, in a guided tour of the 1700-year old palace! The Roman palace was constructed by Emperor Diocletian and today is set in the very heart of Split. World Heritage site and one of the most significant and best-preserved structures of the late ancient architecture. Wander the cellars where the Meereenese slaves lived, walk the streets where they run, come into view where Daenerys kept her dragons, see into the corridor where the Sons of the Harpy waited for the Unsullied and walk through the streets where the Unsullied Army patrolled. Split is also famous for McMafia tv series, Itsi Bitsi. Head in the afternoon to Trogir – another site hosting various scenes of Qarth is the Monastery of St. Dominic in Trogir. Kaštel Gomilica – located between Trogir and Split, K. Gomilica is one of the seven Kaštela (castle) settlements. This is where some of the exterior scenes of Braavos were shot in Season Five including the scenes where Arya Stark (played by Maisie Williams) is selling oysters from a cart. Return to the hotel in evening hours for dinner and leisure time. (B, D)
Day 8 – to Žrnovnica and Klis Fortrerss
Start your day with breakfast and meet with your Game of Thrones location expert who will walk you through Žrnovnica and Klis Fortress. Klis Fortress, or the city of Meereen, is where Daenerys fought to free the slaves of the city and answer ‘injustice with justice’ in Season Four. Follow the footsteps of Khaleesi and hike the stony path to the top, but keep your eyes peeled for rogue dragons. The Klis fortress also offers excellent views of Split.
Žrnovnica is farther east of Split than Klis, a small town which was used for the bathing scene of the Unsullied and Missandei, Daenerys’s advisor/handmaiden, in Season Four. Try and taste natural products in Stella Croatica estate and enjoy dinner and free time. (B, D)
Day 9 – Šibenik and Krka Waterfalls National Park
Old Town, Šibenik – known as ‘The Kings City’, is setting of the scenes for Braavos, one of the Free Cities in the series. Old Town Šibenik made its GoT debut in Season Five when Arya arrives in Braavos seeking the House of Black and White. St. James Cathedral, Šibenik – this UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the site of the mysterious face changing House of Black and White in Braavos where Arya arrives looking for Jaqen H’ghar in Season Five. The façade of the cathedral is unique, it has multiple faces around the entire edifice, thus making it the perfect location for the temple of the God of Many Faces.
Consistently used in Season Four to shoot the landscapes of the West, Krka Waterfalls National Park is a beautiful network of lakes, rivers, and waterfalls that represent some of the most spectacular scenery of all Croatia, including the stunning Krka Falls. And Game of Thrones isn’t the most popular film scene here: long before Game of Thrones Winnetou was and is the most popular film scene done here. Evening hours are for dinner and leisure at your hotel. (B, D)
Day 10 – Island Vis
Speedboat transfer to Vis and Mama Mia tour starts after breakfast. Spend the day at Vis island, visit Vis and Komiža and an optional tour to Blue Cave. Dinner, overnight. (B, D)
Day 11 – Dubrovnik
Speedboat transfer back to Split and then drive to Dubrovnik. Stop in Ston to see the Croatian Chinese wall and spend some free time in this beautiful town. Drive to Dubrovnik and meet up for dinner after the check-in. The rest of the day is free. (B, D)
Day 12 – Dubrovnik
Start the morning with breakfast and prepare yourself to walk through ‘Game of Thrones’ film sites in Dubrovnik which shows the real-life attractions used for some of the television show’s fictional locations. As you explore the city listed on World Heritage list and in all famous guides, enjoy views of the red-roofed horizon you’ll recognize as King’s Landing. Follow Joffrey’s footsteps to Lovrijenac Fortress, stand where Arya Stark stood and hear behind-the-scenes stories about filming in the city. The town is also well known for famous Star Wars. Trsteno Arboretum was used as the palace gardens in Game of Thrones. Dinner is the perfect way to end this amazing day. (B, D)
Day 13 – Travel Croatia Homeward Journey
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight. (B)
